Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training ( HIMT )

HIMT Chennai provides a range of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs across diverse specializations. These programs encompass Marine Science, Engineering, and Technology disciplines at both pre-sea and post-sea levels. The duration of each programme varies according to its curriculum. Admission to BTech and BSc programmes is determined by candidates' ranks in IMUCET, while for other programs, HIMT administers an entrance examination. Successful candidates in the respective exams proceed to an interview and medical examination for final selection.
